Woke up to an e-mail this morning from Mercury giving me a trifecta. 1) Upgrading my card from a 1% to a 2% cash back. 2) lowering my APR. 3) and a $600 CLI. It's now $4850. This card started out almost three years ago at $750 as a credit building card. Now it's like turning into a forever card. Can't say enough good things about Mercury.

Mercury has certainly been conservative in extending CLI's. I logged into my account yesterday to discover a $750 CLI ($4000 to now $4750). I only use this card for my monthly recurring charge for my alarm system monitoring service so it remains active in some sense. Mercury doesn't list CLI's as an option online and won't accept one via request.

CONGRATS!!!!! Its a good card while rebuilding, another positive account for your profile with no annual fee. they do give an automatic cli during the first 6 months, i got a little over 10 pct of the credit limit, ymmv. the only beef i have with the card i have is cb is only redeemed as a statement credit. as bad as cap 1 is on cli's they are excellent on redeeming cb in a few different ways.
