KEC42 (sometimes referred to as Eugene All Hazards) is a NOAA Weather Radio station that serves the Eugene-Springfield metropolitan area and surrounding cities. It is programmed from the National Weather Service forecast office in Portland, Oregon with its transmitter located at Blanton Heights, near Eugene Airport.

In 2019, the Eugene Airport handled 1,218,104 passengers, an increase of 4.2% over 2018 passenger numbers. The airport was named for Mahlon Sweet (1886–1947), a Eugene automobile dealer who was a strong supporter of aviation and pushed to get the now-defunct Eugene Air Park built in 1919, followed by the current airfield in 1943.
