Although you can keep your Comcast.net address, when you are no longer a customer your ability to manage that address becomes limited and problematic. Consider migrating to one of the (often free) independent email-only providers like Outlook.com, Gmail.com, Yahoo.com, etc. Please be aware that there are 2 kinds of responses in this Forum ...

As a residential customer your email address ends in @comcast.net . Using webmail there aren't any settings you can change or modify; you would have to use an email client to set up POP3 or IMAP. FWIW, you don't pay extra for Comcast/Xfinity email services. If you don't see it as a line item it's just something Comcast/Xfinity gives you for free.
Randomly a couple of days ago, send email does not work. My GMAIL accounts send fine, but COMCAST mail stopped sending. Receiving works fine. Did not touch any configs, but checking them show all is correct. smtp.comcast.net port 465 user name and password correct.
