The Building Department ensures the safety and stability of all structures within the City by enforcing all building codes and city codes including, but not limited to, the Florida Building Code, accessibility and life safety codes.
The Utilities Department provides the city’s residents and businesses with safe drinking water, wastewater treatment and disposal services. Services are provided in an efficient and cost effective manner, while complying with all federal, state and local regulations, such as the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) and the Clean Water Act (CWA).
Engineering Standard Details. The Engineering Department is actively involved with private development. The Department performs review and approval of private development plans for engineering improvements as an element of the City’s development review process.
Monday-Friday 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm will be the next business day, up until 11:00 PM. A service fee will apply and an Additional Deposit may be required. The City of Plantation water and sewer bills are due 21 days from the billing date. The due date is printed on the bill.
