Julio Robaina (born April 21, 1965) is an American politician who served as the mayor of Hialeah, Florida. He was first elected in 2005 and was re-elected for a second term in 2009. [ 1 ] Robaina also served as Hialeah's city manager , with a total annual compensation for both positions, including expenses and travel, for $261,010.
Hialeah also has the highest proportion of Cuban and Cuban-American residents of any city in the United States, at 84.1% of the population, making them a prominent feature of the city's culture. In 2023, 89.5% of residents reported speaking Spanish at home, [ 7 ] and the language is an important part of daily life in the city.
