Dionna Harris. Dionna M. Harris (born 4 March 1968) is an American, former collegiate right-handed softball second baseman and outfielder, originally from Wilmington, Delaware. She played two years for the defunct Temple Owls softball team from 1989 to 1990 in the Atlantic 10 Conference, where as a junior was named Player of The Year.
The Temple Owls are the athletic teams that represent Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The current athletic director is Arthur Johnson. The owl has been the symbol and mascot for Temple University since its founding in the 1880s. Temple was the first school in the United States to adopt the owl as its symbol or mascot.
