KUSI-TV (channel 51) is an independent television station in San Diego, California, United States. It is owned by Nexstar Media Group alongside Fox affiliate KSWB-TV (channel 69). KUSI-TV's studios are located on Viewridge Avenue (near I-15 ) in the Kearny Mesa section of San Diego, and its transmitter is located southeast of Spring Valley .
She relocated to San Diego in 1987 as an anchor for the ABC affiliate KGTV. For fifteen years, Hunt co-anchored the evening newscasts with Carol LeBeau, the longest running female anchor team in the U.S. Hunt joined the KUSI News team in October 2002. He left the station on December 31, 2009, and joined KUSI-TV in San Diego. At KUSI, he was a featured reporter and co-anchor of the 11 p.m. newscast. At the end of 2016, Becker left KUSI to become the news director for KMIR-TV in Palm Springs, California. Becker left KMIR in January 2018.
