James Fergus (October 8, 1813 – June 5, 1902) was a miner, rancher, businessman and politician in Minnesota and Montana. He immigrated as a young man from Scotland and became a naturalized United States citizen. He helped develop the frontier in both territories, founding cities and counties.
Added to NRHP. August 13, 1986. Barnard Mortuary is a historic building located in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, United States. Designed by Minneapolis architect Walter R. Dennis, this is a rare local example of the Mission Revival style. [2] J.P. Johnson was the contractor who completed the building in 1930 for Edward T. Barnard.
