Founded in 1981, the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, School of Optometry (IAUPR) [1] offers a four-year Doctor of Optometry program and is located in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. The Vaqueros de Bayamon lead the league for most championships won at 16. They are followed by two teams that have 14 titles; the Atléticos de San Germán and Leones de Ponce . These three teams have won a combined 44 of the 91 championships.
The campus was founded in 1967 and after thirteen years became known as Colegio Universitario Tecnológico de Arecibo (CUTA). The campus gained autonomy in 1998 based on the UPR board's Law 16 of June 16, 1993. In 2010 the campus went on strike as part of the 2010–2011 University of Puerto Rico strikes.
History. Instituto de Banca y Comercio was founded by Fidel Alonso-Valls in 1974 in the city of San Juan, Puerto Rico, where it only had two classrooms and 15 students. Initially, it was an institution specialized in preparing tellers for the banking industry in Puerto Rico. Hence its original name, International Banking School.
