Cas12a (C RISPR- as sociated protein 12a, previously known as Cpf1) is a subtype of Cas12 proteins and an RNA-guided endonuclease that forms part of the CRISPR system in some bacteria and archaea. In CRISPR systems, Cas12a serves to destroy the genetic material of viruses and other foreign DNA, thereby protecting the cell from infection.
The Cpf1 nuclease of Francisella novicida recognizes the PAM 5'-TTTN-3' [15] or 5'-YTN-3'. [16] Aside from CRISPR-Cas9 and CRISPR-Cpf1, there are doubtless many yet undiscovered nucleases and PAMs. [17] CRISPR/Cas13a (formerly C2c2 [18]) from the bacterium Leptotrichia shahii is an RNA-guided CRISPR system that targets sequences in RNA rather ...
Shri. Lokesh Chandra, IAS. Mahavitaran or Mahadiscom or MSEDCL (Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board. It is the largest electricity distribution utility in India (2nd largest in the World after SGCC). MSEDCL distributes electricity to the entire state ...
In 2015, the nuclease Cas12a (formerly called Cpf1 [65]) was characterized in the CRISPR-Cpf1 system of the bacterium Francisella novicida. [ 66 ] [ 67 ] Its original name, from a TIGRFAMs protein family definition built in 2012, reflects the prevalence of its CRISPR-Cas subtype in the Prevotella and Francisella lineages.
Maharashtra State Electricity Board (or MSEB) (Marathi:महाराष्ट्र राज्य विद्युत मंडळ) is a state government electricity regulation board operating within the state of Maharashtra in India. The MSEB was formed on 20 June 1960 under Section 5 of the Electricity (Supply) Act, 1948. In 1998 it was ...
The Mahanirmiti or Mahagenco (Maharashtra State Power Generation plants Limited - MSPGCL) formerly known as MSEB (Maharashtra State Electricity Board) is a major power generating plants in the state of Maharashtra, India and a wholly owned subsidiary of Maharashtra State Electricity Board . [1] With a total generation of 14,400 MW, it is the ...
Nameplate capacity is the theoretical output registered with authorities for classifying the unit. For intermittent power sources, such as wind and solar, nameplate power is the source's output under ideal conditions, such as maximum usable wind or high sun on a clear summer day. Capacity factor measures the ratio of actual output over an ...
e. CRISPR interference (CRISPRi) is a genetic perturbation technique that allows for sequence-specific repression of gene expression in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. [1] It was first developed by Stanley Qi and colleagues in the laboratories of Wendell Lim, Adam Arkin, Jonathan Weissman, and Jennifer Doudna. [2]
