Brandon Teena [note 1] (December 12, 1972 – December 31, 1993) was an American transgender man who was raped and later, along with Phillip DeVine and Lisa Lambert, murdered in Humboldt, Nebraska, by John Lotter and Tom Nissen. They robbed him, beat him and drove him to a remote Smith County location where they shot him, multiple times.
