Website. www .iredellcountync .gov. Iredell County ( / ˈaɪɜːrdɛl / EYE-ur-del) [1] [2] is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 186,693. [3] Its county seat is Statesville, and its largest community is Mooresville.
The students of "West", as it is known throughout the county, are currently 76% Caucasian, 18% African-American, 10% Hispanic, 2% Asian, <1% Multi-Racial, and <1% American Indian. West offers the standard high school core curriculum. Since 2004 the school has added three new AP courses, Latin I and II, and nine new honor courses to the curriculum.
The school was constructed in 1966 to replace Troutman High School. The school's enrollment was about 800 students in the 2005–2006 school year. Attendance was double that figure before 2002, when Lake Norman High School was created to alleviate South Iredell's overcrowding. In 2018 the school's enrollment had grown to just under 1600 students.
Iredell Independent School District. Iredell Independent School District is a public school district based in Iredell, Texas ( USA ). Located in western Bosque County, the district extends into a small portion of Erath County . The district has one school that serves students in grades pre-kindergarten through twelve.
Description [ edit] North Iredell High School is one of 10 high schools in Iredell County and is part of the Statesville-Iredell public school district. The student body is 53 percent male and 47 percent female, with a 25 percent minority enrollment in 2021. North has an 85 percent graduation rate.
