Louisa County High School was created by the consolidation of Louisa, Mineral and Apple Grove high schools, opening for classes in 1940. The high school was integrated in fall 1969. During the 2009–2010 school year, Liberty was on the campus of its parent school, Literacy First Charter School. Liberty consisted of freshmen and sophomore's.
