On your desktop, you can make Gmail display all of your unread emails at the top of your inbox, followed by your other emails. In the mobile version of Gmail, you can add a new tab that only displays your unread emails.
Within Gmail, in the top-right corner of the screen, select Settings (gear icon). From the drop-down list, choose See all settings. If the Inbox tab isn't already displayed, select Inbox. In the Inbox type section, select Unread first from the drop-down menu.
