NNPTC houses Nuclear Field "A" School and Naval Nuclear Power School. These two schools were formerly independent entities run by separate commanding officers and structures. NNPTC was created in 1993 to streamline the command structures of both schools, with each school ultimately reporting to a single commanding officer of NNPTC.
Shikellamy High School is a public high school located in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, United States. The school was named after Oneida Chief Shikellamy. The building was built in 1929. In 1965, a merger between Northumberland High School and Sunbury High School created Shikellamy High School. It is part of the Shikellamy School District.
The school building was located on Center Street and 300 West. It was designed to house 350 students and became overcrowded as the student body grew to 500. It was torn down in 2000 to make room for a parking lot. (Cedar High School was never part of Branch Agricultural College, which was across the street from the original High School location.)
In the 1970s a group of parents from Bliss, located in the Bliss School District, sought to enroll their children in the Gooding schools. [8] The Bliss district, beginning in 1975, decided not to permit certain parents to enroll children in the Gooding schools in a tuition free way, and in response the Gooding district denied the transfers since that district did not get tuition money.
