Livonia Public Schools ( LPS) is a public school district in southeastern Michigan Metro Detroit area, serving most of the city of Livonia and the northernmost portions of Westland. The present Livonia High building was built in 1936. It was originally a two-story brick building. The second floor was lost to a fire in 1971.
