It was the successor to Turbo C++ and included a better debugger, the Turbo Debugger, which was written in protected mode DOS.

Visual J++ is no longer available for distribution, but it was part of the Microsoft Visual Studio product line. Visual Studio 6.0 was the last release to include J++.
vcpkg provides access to C and C++ libraries to its supported platforms. The command-line utility is currently available on Windows, macOS and Linux. vcpkg was first announced at CppCon 2016.
