Installed the MS Access Database Engine 2016 (64-bit) several times. Updated all Windows updates again since the Access DBE didn't work. Applied all Autodesk patches indicated were available.
Hello. It is possible to connect your drawing to a MS Access database.Using the DBCONNECT command you can create an ODBC connection to your data. A windows ODBC DSN is configured and then you should be able to make the connection. Or, use the AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe to set up Windows for the connection. Take a look at the AKN Article.
Installing the 2016 Access Database Engine redirects the registry key to point at its (older) version of the DLL, and that's where the problem is. Fixing the problem is a simple matter of editing the registry key and pointing it to the newer version of the MSO.DLL file.

We have quite an issue with the Smart3D VUE Plugin for Navisworks. The plugin uses and installs the 64-bit version of the Microsoft Access Database Engine regardless the Office version already installed. Microsoft Office does not support mixing modes and several features in Office breaks following the installation, i.a. Excel and Outlook.
