Fuchsia ( / ˈfjuːʃə / FEW-shə) is a genus of flowering plants that consists mostly of shrubs or small trees. Almost 110 species of Fuchsia are recognized; the vast majority are native to South America, but a few occur north through Central America to Mexico, and also several from New Zealand to Tahiti.
Fuchsia began as a small Houston -based fashion retail company. Scott and Pope's first venture was selling accessories and handbags to classmates during their second year at Westside High School. [3] With the capital from the initial accessory sales, Scott and Pope created their first collection of ready-to-wear cocktail dresses.
Fuchsia simplicicaulis is a scandent shrub growing 2-5 m tall, with branched stems. Young branches are subterete and hairy, with mature stems having red flaking bark. The leaves are lanceolate 8-15 x 1-3.5 cm wide. They are glabrous above and glabrous or pilose below along the veins. The petioles are 2-6 mm long.

Description. Fuchsia loxensis are densely branched shrubs that are 1-6 m in height. Juvenile growth are covered with fine hairs while mature stems are flaky, tan color bark that is 8-40 mm thick. The leaves are usually grouped in threes or fours, membranous, elliptic, 2-13 x 0.8-4 cm . They are medium to dark green on top and pale green underneath.
