Quercus macrocarpa is a large deciduous tree growing up to 30 metres (98 feet), rarely 50 m (160 ft), in height, [3] and is one of the most massive oaks with a trunk diameter of up to 3 m (10 ft). It is one of the slowest-growing oaks, with a growth rate of 30 centimetres (12 in) per year when young.
In 1986, Haas founded Haas Outdoors, Inc and introduced the Mossy Oak brand of outdoor clothing using the "Bottomland" pattern he designed. The first Mossy Oak clothing was sewn by Haas' mother in his childhood home. Haas and his friend Chris Hawley co-founded Mossy Oak's real estate company Mossy Oak Properties in 1999.
Haas, an avid outdoorsman, gained inspiration from the natural twigs, leaves, and dirt in the woods. He named it Mossy Oak, gathered up a handful and decided to find someone who could print a fabric resembling this. Awards. 2006 PBR World Champion Bull. Mossy Oak Mudslinger #790 (1997–2012) was an American bucking bull. He was the 2006 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) World Champion Bull. He began his bucking career at age three. His owners retired him after the 2006 season ended, while he was still in his peak. He died in 2012 when he was almost 15 years old.
