Jay M. Robinson High School, often referred to as Robinson, JMR, or JRob by students, is a comprehensive public high school located in Concord, North Carolina.It is the fifth high school of the Cabarrus County Schools system, opening its doors in August 2001, the county's first new high school since 1966.
Northwest's academic coursework falls in line with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study in all core subject areas. Advanced Placement courses are offered in United States History, American Government and Politics, Biology, Studio Art, Chemistry, Physics, Environmental Science, English language, English Literature, Statistics, and Calculus.
The Rocky River is a 95-mile-long (153 km) [5] river in the Piedmont region of North Carolina.It begins in Iredell County near Mooresville and flows south into Cabarrus County, where it is the principal waterway in the county.
Central is one of only two high schools in Cabarrus County's K–12 STEM Pipeline, the only program of its kind in the state of North Carolina. Students must apply in middle school for consideration into the program, where they must maintain an overall grade average of 80% (based on the final average of all courses taken each year). [ 8 ]
In 2003, graduation for Concord High School, as well as all other Cabarrus County schools, was moved to the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center, and has been held at the Center each year since. Two major additions have been made to the 1967 high school building in the nearly four decades since. The school remains at this location on Burrage Road.

In 2017–2018 school year, Kannapolis opened a new part of the middle school. Now the upper building houses 6th grade and the lower building houses 7th and 8th. The elementary schools now house k-5 again. The former intermediate school has been renamed George Washington Carver, and is an Arts magnet elementary school.
