The Gifted Education Programme ( GEP) is an academic programme in Singapore, initially designed to identify the top 0.25% (later expanded to 0.5%, then 1%) of students from each academic year with outstanding intelligence. The tests are based on verbal, mathematical and spatial abilities (as determined by two rounds of tests ).

Shabazz (1927–2014), degrees from Lincoln University (Pennsylvania), Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cornell University (PhD).
With only 2 pence and 5 pence coins, one cannot make 3 pence, but one can make any higher integer amount. In mathematics, the coin problem (also referred to as the Frobenius coin problem or Frobenius problem, after the mathematician Ferdinand Frobenius) is a mathematical problem that asks for the largest monetary amount that cannot be obtained ...
Hilbert's seventeenth problem. Hilbert's seventeenth problem is one of the 23 Hilbert problems set out in a celebrated list compiled in 1900 by David Hilbert. It concerns the expression of positive definite rational functions as sums of quotients of squares. The original question may be reformulated as:
t. e. In mathematics, summation is the addition of a sequence of numbers, called addends or summands; the result is their sum or total. Beside numbers, other types of values can be summed as well: functions, vectors, matrices, polynomials and, in general, elements of any type of mathematical objects on which an operation denoted "+" is defined.
The subset sum problem is a special case of the decision and 0-1 problems where each kind of item, the weight equals the value: =. In the field of cryptography, the term knapsack problem is often used to refer specifically to the subset sum problem. The subset sum problem is one of Karp's 21 NP-complete problems.
Exponential sum. In mathematics, an exponential sum may be a finite Fourier series (i.e. a trigonometric polynomial ), or other finite sum formed using the exponential function, usually expressed by means of the function. Therefore, a typical exponential sum may take the form. summed over a finite sequence of real numbers xn .
