Microsoft C was usually developed for DOS and run in DOS and usually was there to compile C code for DOS. Only the last two versions also supported C++ code. Visual C++, that also supports C, was developed for Windows. In my opinion, we should create for Microsoft C its own article and separate that from Visual C++.
