Dothan High School is a public co-educational institution encompassing grades 10 to 12. The high school is located in the southeastern portion of the state of Alabama in Dothan, and has the 36th-largest high school student population in the state. Clay-Chalkville High School (CCHS) is a public high school in Clay, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama, United States. It is the second largest of the Jefferson County Board of Education's fourteen high schools. School colors are navy blue and silver, and the athletic teams are called the Cougars. Oak Mountain's soccer programs have been two of the best programs in the country during the last twenty years. The boys' soccer team won four 6A state championships, in 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2011, as well as three consecutive 7A championships from 2015-2017.
Southside High School is the largest school in the Etowah County School System, serving 900 students from Southside and Rainbow City from grades 9 through 12. The schoolhouse was constructed in 2007. Its mascot is the black panther and its colors are maroon and black. [1]
Lanier High School won state championships in all high school sports. In 1966, Lanier was triple state champs, winning top honors in football, basketball, and track and field. 1966 was the first of three successive state championships in football, with the school's last state championship occurring in 1968.
