The Mark Twain House and Museum in Hartford, Connecticut, was the home of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) and his family from 1874 to 1891. The ski area was built on the northwest slope of Mohawk Mountain by Walt Schoenknecht in 1947.
