Students in the seventh and eighth grades are required to take French. As of 2009 parents are required to sign agenda books and assignments on a daily basis. Parents are also required to attend parent-teacher conferences. The school calls parents and asks them to go to the school if a student submits unsigned or incomplete assignments.
Concord's first public high school was established in 1846. The original building was the building on the corner of State and School streets. A new school house was built in 1862, which stood until April 1888, when it burned down during a fire started by a chemistry experiment. For the next two years, students took their classes in City Hall.
The first club was the Asian Student Union, formed back in 2010 at the Old Building. Everest students also have the opportunity to participate in a number of team sports. Currently, only a small handful of clubs exist. Student Ambassadors which allows students to connect better with the community and staff and to improve the school.
