The name changed from Adobe Reader to Acrobat Reader and it is still free. There also continues to be the product just called Acrobat, or Acrobat Pro or Acrobat Standard; this continues to be not free.

A few years ago, we applied this setting to Adobe Reader using a group policy setting. I had the exact same problem, document printed fine from Word with the margin parameters I had set, but whenever I went to print from the PDF using Adobe it forces a 25mm (1") border around the whole document, no matter how much you scale or fit the page, and even though the margins were set in Word (and our printer was more than capable of printing in this area).

The newest versions (February 2024) of both Acrobat and Reader were just installed on my Mac. The interface has completely changed, and not for the better, IMO. I was previously using a very specific setup with multiple Tool Buttons an easy click away. They were readily available in a strip of buttons along the top of my window.
