The Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (or Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level) is a GCE Ordinary Level examination held annually in Singapore and is jointly conducted by the Ministry of Education (MOE), Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board (SEAB) and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate (UCLES). The majority of candidates enter the exams via their respective schools, while candidates who have finished school education can also apply as a private candidate. The O/L examination is regarded as the qualification examination for starting on GCE(A/L). Specialization streaming is depended on the grades obtained for subjects in the O/L.
At the Ordinary Level, 50% passed compared to 25.29% in 2017. In 2020, Statistics from the GCE Board show that at the Ordinary levels, results have witnessed improvement from 62.15 to 64.04% while at the advanced level, the result however dropped from 74.24% in 2019 to 64.4% in 2020.
