Iredell County ( / ˈaɪɜːrdɛl / EYE-ur-del) [1] [2] is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina. As of the 2020 census, the population was 186,693. [3] Its county seat is Statesville, and its largest community is Mooresville. The county was formed in 1788, subtracted from Rowan County.
The current system is the North Carolina Vital Records Application System (VRAS), which has digitized birth records from 1971 forward. Birth records before that are largely not digitized.
