Mapúa University ( Filipino: Pamantasang Mapúa ), also known simply as Mapúa or MU, is a private research-oriented non-sectarian university located in Metro Manila, Philippines. The university was founded in 1925 by the first registered Filipino architect, Tomás Mapúa, a graduate of Cornell University in New York, US.

Founded in 1946, business tycoon Lucio Tan acquired the university in 1990. UE was once labeled as the "largest university in Asia" when its enrollment in the past reached over 65,000 students.

History. UAPSA was established in 1989 as an arm and junior partner of United Architects of the Philippines. Jesus M.
