The Coppell Solar Racing Team is a group of students from the Coppell School of Engineering that has designed, built, and raced solar cars in the national high school solar car competition since 2008. The team finished 2nd in both the 2018 cross-country race and 2019 Electric-Solar Division race at Texas Motor Speedway. [11]
The district was created as Coppell Independent School District by a vote of the local citizenry in 1959. In 1927, Dallas County Schools had acquired 6 acres (24,000 m 2) of land for $900 upon which to build Pinkerton Elementary, the only campus to serve Coppell children attending kindergarten through the eighth grade.
Jesuit High School opened on September 14, 1942. [6] Located on the former grounds of Holy Trinity College on 3872 Oak Lawn Avenue in Dallas, Texas, the school had 195 students registered. September 1, 1955, it was the first school in Dallas to integrate, when sophomore Charles Edmond and freshman Arthur Allen, both African-Americans, enrolled. [7]

It is the second high school in the Coppell Independent School District. It is part of the New Tech Network which nationwide has 86 "New Tech" schools.
McDaniel attended Coppell High School in Coppell, Texas. In 2009, McDaniel rushed for over 1,200 yards and 20 touchdowns, while also catching 57 passes for seven touchdowns. [ 1 ] The next season, McDaniel ran for 1,906 yards and 32 touchdowns while recording 40 receptions for 492 yards and three touchdowns.
