Brandon Teena. Brandon Teena[note 1] (December 12, 1972 – December 31, 1993) was an American transgender man who was raped and later, along with Phillip DeVine and Lisa Lambert, murdered in Humboldt, Nebraska, by John Lotter and Tom Nissen. [2][3] His life and death were the subject of the films The Brandon Teena Story and Boys Don't Cry.
Tanner Lambert graduated from Humboldt High School in 2011, and was raised by his aunt. John Lotter and Tom Nissen are currently in prison, with Nissen serving life imprisonment and Lotter facing execution. [17] Tisdel graduated from Falls City High School in 1992. [18] She married Josh Bachman in 2001 and lives in Kansas with their children. [19]
