Web2Cit: An automatic citation generator for web sources, meant to complement citation results by Citoid for which no valid translators exist. Web2Cit translators are community controlled. It runs its own server on toolforge. WebRef: A bookmarklet automating the filling of the {} template.
The "Cite" icon in VisualEditor's toolbar. Position your cursor after the sentence or paragraph that the citation is intended to support. Click the "Cite" button in the VisualEditor toolbar. A dialog box will appear, with options for automatic formatting, filling in a citation template or plain text manually, or re-using an existing citation.

If you have a URL (web page) link, you can add it to the title part of the citation, so that when you add the citation to Wikipedia the URL becomes hidden and the title becomes clickable. To do this, enclose the URL and the title in square brackets—the URL first, then a space, then the title. For example:

Not only is it unable to generate ISBN citations sometimes it doesn't even do it for WorldCat websites (instead generates a citation *to* the website itself!!)
To use it, click on at the top of the edit window, having already positioned your cursor after the sentence or fact you wish to reference. Then select one of the 'Templates' from the dropdown menu that best suits the type of source. These are: { {cite web}} for references to general websites.
