The 1975 Women's College World Series (WCWS) was contested among 18 college softball teams on May 15–18 at Dill Field in Omaha, Nebraska.This was the seventh WCWS. After losing the opener of the final, the University of Nebraska–Omaha Maverettes defeated Northern Iowa, 6–4, in the deciding game to win the 1975 championship.
Because college softball had not yet been separated into competitive divisions, large and small colleges competed together in one overall national championship. [ 1 ] The Michigan State Spartans went undefeated through all five of their games to win the 1976 national championship, beating Northern Colorado, 3–0, in the final game.
Deborah Gebhardt attended Hazleton High School, and later graduated from East Stroudsburg State in 1969. She earned her Master's degree from the University of Arizona. After earning her master's degree, she started teaching at the University of California, Berkeley. Gebhardt also officiated basketball for nine years.

The McMunn Planetarium is a planetarium at East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania. It features a SPITZ digital projection system that can show pre-produced videos as well as custom star shows. In addition to public shows, the planetarium serves as a classroom space for East Stroudsburg University science courses. [3]
Softball was one of twelve women's sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981–82 school year, as the NCAA engaged in battle with the AIAW for sole governance of women's collegiate sports. The AIAW continued to conduct its established championship program in the same twelve (and other) sports.
