Mid-Prairie Middle School is a grades 5–8 school located at 713 F Avenue in Kalona, Iowa, approximately 18 miles south of Iowa City and 15 miles north of Washington. Since the start of the 2017–18 school year this has been the only school in the district for grades 5–8, with approximately 440 students, [ 8 ]
Students attend from the age of three through to high school graduation. Founded in 1986, it was the first of six schools in iSC (International Schools Consortium) [ 2 ] established in six Chinese cities: Qingdao , Shenyang , Chengdu , Wuxi , Wuhan , and Yantai .
As part of a regionalization plan approved by Archbishop Oscar H. Lipscomb in 2001, it merged with St. Bede Catholic Elementary School (K-8) and Our Lady Queen of Mercy Elementary School (K-8) to become Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School. In 2004 it opened a middle school for grades 7-8, and in 2012, it opened Holy Spirit Elementary School.
The school was built with the expectation that it would house 945 students. Its peak enrollment hit approximately 1,800 students in the late 1990s, and has since stabilized to around 1100 students. STA was built with a "cafetorium", a space which could be used as either a cafeteria or auditorium with portable seating stored under the stage.
The Holy Heart Auditorium, attached to the school, was refurbished in 2006 and again in 2012 and has played host to a number of concerts from outside the school community. The theatre is open to students and staff during the academic day; students have full access to the latest theatrical equipment.
Greenfield-Central High School is a secondary school (grades 9-12) located in the city of Greenfield, Indiana. It is under the management of the Greenfield-Central Community School Corporation. It had 1,363 students in 2009–2010. [2] The high school has television studio facilities and operates broadcast radio station WRGF.
