The American School of Warsaw (commonly abbreviated as ASW) is an English -using international school in Warsaw, Poland, founded in 1953 by members of the U. S. Embassy. The school remains connected to the Embassy for general support and the U.S. Ambassador is the honorary chair of the board according to the bylaws of the school.
The school was established by the Ronald S. Lauder foundation in 1994, following the success of the Lauder Kindergarten created in 1989. It is the first school under Jewish auspices in Warsaw since 1949. [1] In 2007, its enrollment was 240 students, ranging in age from three to sixteen years old (pre-school to Grade 9).

SGH Warsaw School of Economics was founded in 1906 as a private school under the name August Zieliński Private Trade Courses for Men. On 30 July 1919 it became a separate legal entity and was granted the status of an institution of higher education. The school was renamed Szkoła Główna Handlowa (SGH) in 1933.
