The first official classes in the area were held in a church. However, in 1884, local residents built a one-room house on donated land. [9] In 1939, an election was held in which voters in the Cypress and Fairbanks school systems approved the creation of the Cypress-Fairbanks Consolidated School District; the measure passed by a vote of 129-66 in Cypress and 90-87 in Fairbanks.

Fairfield, Harris County, Texas. Coordinates: 30.0071079°N 95.7479964°W. Fairfield is an unincorporated area in northwestern Harris County, Texas, United States, [1] with approximately 3,200 acres (1,300 ha) of area. It is near U.S. Route 290 and Mason Road. As of 2007, there were 3,652 households.
The community, named after its founder, John Joseph Fairbanks, was founded in July, 1895. In 1895 Fairbanks received its first post office. In 1914 Fairbanks had 75 residents, a general store and saloon, and a grocery store. The community had 25 people in the 1920s and 1930s. In 1942 the community had 800 residents and 35 businesses in the area.
