The hospital was given with its modern-day name, Greystone Park Psychiatric Center, in 1924. The new reception building, dubbed the Curry Building after Medical Superintendent Marcus Curry, opened in 1928, as well as a new fire station, power plant, greenhouse, and auxiliary buildings.
The majority of the patients came from Colorado's three largest cities, Denver, Pueblo, and Colorado Springs, which made up over half of those receiving care at the hospital and their respective counties totaled 3,183 patients. Patient care and the constant need for new constructions led the hospital towards a difficult financial situation.
In 1961, the ground was broken for the new hospital's twin towers structure. In 2014, Saint Joseph Hospital completed its current facility located at 1375 E. 19th Avenue and Downing Street in Denver.
