He founded Rosen Hotels & Resorts in 1974, and serves as the company's president and chief operating officer.
The turning point would come in 2000 when Harris Rosen, owner of Orlando-based Rosen Hotels & Resorts and long-time supporter of the university, donated $10 million in cash and 25 acres in land (valued at $8 million), along with an additional $1.1 million in cash for scholarships, to the program.
Harris Rosen, founder of Rosen Hotels & Resorts and a local resident since the late 1960s, [6] [7] pledged $3.5 million for its first phase of construction and named the campus after his parents. [4] [8] According to the Jewish Federation of Greater Orlando, this marked the largest gift in the organization's history.
