The Oshkosh M-ATV is a mine-resistant ambush protected vehicle developed by the Oshkosh Corporation for the MRAP All Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) program. Intended to replace M1114 HMMWVs (Humvee), it is designed to provide the same levels of protection as the larger and heavier previous MRAPs, but with improved mobility.

They were sold in two series: 1/2-ton 1500 and 3/4-ton 2500, although unlike past models, exterior badging was no longer used to distinguish between them. Suburbans came in Base, LS, and LT trims. Optional was a push-button 4WD with a low-range transfer case. A tow hitch with a trailer wiring plug was optional.
The Tahoe received minor updates for 2004, most notably newly designed 16 and 17-inch wheel choices and a tire pressure monitoring system. The L-ATV had developmental origins that trace back to 2007 and Oshkosh/Northrop Grumman's failed JLTV proposal, with some sub-systems having a lineage that trace back to 2005.
