Trauma Center is an American medical drama that aired on ABC from September 22, 1983 to December 8, 1983. [1]In the run-up to the 1983–84 fall season, the series was promoted on-air and in the Fall Preview issue of TV Guide as Medstar, but was changed to Trauma Center prior to the first air-date.
It was formed in 1983 when the UvA Faculty of Medicine and two hospitals, Binnengasthuis and the Wilhelmina Gasthuis, combined. Shortly after in 1988, the Emma Children's Hospital also moved to the AMC. It is one of Amsterdam's level 1 trauma centers and strongly cooperates with the VU University Medical Center (VUmc).

The Kunduz Trauma Centre was a hospital operated by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Kunduz, Afghanistan from 29 August 2011 until 3 October 2015 when it was destroyed in an airstrike by a United States Air Force AC-130U gunship. Before the bombing, the MSF's hospital was the only active medical facility in the area.
