Biography. Raymond Allen Young was born in Buffalo, New York and grew up in Syracuse.He graduated from the Central Technical High School in Syracuse in 1962, and earned a bachelor of science degree in Wood Products Engineering from the State University of New York (SUNY) and Syracuse University in 1966.
