The Spirit of Healing, the mosaic tile mural that Treviño completed in 1997, was made for the Christus Santa Rosa Hospital (now The Children's Hospital) of San Antonio. It is the largest tile mural in the United States, at 93 feet high and 43 feet wide.
It was just after the Civil War and San Antonio had a population of 12,000; however, there were no public hospitals. When the three Sisters arrived, they founded the institute of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. They also founded San Antonio's first public hospital, known today as Christus Santa Rosa Hospital.
The hospital had joined the hospital network in 1974. On February 3, 2020, it was announced that AdventHealth would sell Central Texas Medical Center to Christus Health. On April 1, 2020, Central Texas Medical Center officially joined Christus Health and was rebranded as Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-San Marcos.
