Murder of Sean Owen. Sean Ethan Owen (1980–2004) was a gay American man who was murdered in Durham, North Carolina in February 2004. Owen's body was found in the Eno River after he was shot twice and apparently left for dead. [1]
The opening sentence in the lead says "Brandon Teena (December 12, 1972 – December 31, 1993) was an American trans man who was raped and murdered in Humboldt, Nebraska." Trans man means "male who was asigned 'female' at birth" i.e. born biologically female but self-identifies as male.
