Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital was founded in 1971 as the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Hospital. It was named after Josiah Spaulding, a founder, after his death in 1983. The former location was in the West End of Boston, located behind North Station at 125 Nashua Street. [3][4][5]
