The seminary remained in Springfield until the synod reorganized its system of pastoral training and merged the program of Concordia Senior College of Fort Wayne with Concordia College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1976, the seminary returned to Fort Wayne, where it inherited the Senior College's award-winning campus, designed by Eero Saarinen.
In 1959, the Cambria and Corydon school districts merged to form the Cambria–Corydon Community School District. At the beginning of the 20th century, local Lutheran church leaders in Fort Wayne felt an urgent need for an additional hospital in the city. Led by Reverend Philip Wambsganss, they raised funds from the surrounding area, in 1904, the 25-bed Lutheran Hospital opened.
