Netgear is connected to Modem (which is also include router) Hitron model : CODA-4680. If it really is a modem/router – Google isn't clear – that could be the source of the problem. The Hitron might also have a similar login address or it is intercepting attempts to get to 192.168.1.1. Two routers on your network can cause headaches.

192.168.1.1 is the default login path of many routers, some of which are 192.168.0.1. The login paths of different models are different. For example, I have tp link archer ax90 and the default login path is 192.168.1.1. If you use netgear router maybe the same or maybe different.

Go to Solution. 1 person had this problem. 2022-04-07 07:41 PM. I have this same router. Be sure you factory reset and when you go to 192.168.1.1 first, scroll down toward the bottom of the page and select "don't have the app". Selecting this in the web browser will start the setup wizard process in the web browser.
How about trying the secure web portal: http s://192.168.1.1. The browser will complain about it being "insecure" because the SSL certificate is "self-signed". Just ignore the warning. You are probably aware that the "last resort" is to do a Factory Reset and reconfigure the router from scratch. (I absolutely hate doing this.
Guide. 2019-03-04 06:42 AM. I have just setup and started to use a Nighthawk XR500 (Previously using R1 with DumaOS installed), when I looked at the log all I could see was [DoS Attack: IP Spoofing] from source: 192.168.1.1, port 57985 (This is the routers IP address) . It seems to happen multiple times a minute, the port address changes, and ...
I was able to get to my Netgear R6300v2 router via 192.168.1.1 on my main PC before I installed the Orbi. I can get to the Orbi configuration page on my main PC if I change the base IP address of the Orbi to something else, like: 192.168.1.10. I have tried other browsers (Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox).
By default, the new router wants to use 192.168.1.1 as its local IP address. (192.168.0.1 is the address that many modem/routers go for.) If it finds another router it will go for something else, 10.0.0.1 is a regular fallback. So, yes, it is normal behaviour, but it is a bad idea. You can end up with network issues.
