Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania ( LHU) is a public university in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. It is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The main campus consists of 200 acres (81 ha) and the branch campus covers 12.9 acres (5.2 ha). [2] It offers 69 undergraduate programs and 4 graduate programs.

The school's name was changed to Lock Haven State College in 1960, and its emphasis shifted to include the humanities, fine arts, mathematics, and social sciences, as well as teacher education. Becoming Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania in 1983, it opened a branch campus in Clearfield, 48 miles (77 km) west of Lock Haven, in 1989.
