Main Street Historic District is a historic district in downtown Baton Rouge, Louisiana, United States, located along Main Street, from North 4th Street to North 7th Street. The 2.5 acres (1.0 ha) area comprises a total of 11 historic commercial buildings, dating from c.1890 to c.1935.

The first graduating class from Elkader High School was in 1875, with the last class graduating in 1953 as the local school system was consolidated into Central Community School District. The original high school building, built in the late 1860s, was two stories high and was considered one of the best in the county.
Broadmoor High School was founded in 1960 and resides on a 30-acre campus centrally located in the historic Broadmoor Neighborhood [2] of south Baton Rouge. BHS offers an array of traditional and honors level courses, including several AP courses and College Dual Enrollment opportunities with Baton Rouge area colleges (BRCC, SU, LSU) for eligible upperclassmen in good academic standing.
On August 12–13, 2016, the school buildings were lost in the Great Flood of Baton Rouge. The school relocated to Bon Carre Technology Park for the remainder of the 2016-2017 school year and the start of the 2017-2018 school year. In February 2018, the school returned to its original campus on St. Gerard Avenue in modular buildings.
