[3] Herndon serves grades 9-12 and is a part of the Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) system. Herndon High School serves the town of Herndon and the northern part of the unincorporated community of Reston.
The school system has expanded to include over 196 schools and centers, including 22 high schools, three secondary schools, 23 middle schools, and 141 elementary schools. Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) also operates a fleet of over 1520 school buses, which transport 110,000 students daily.
The Line Mountain High School is a small, rural public high school located at 187 Line Mountain Road, Herndon, Northumberland County, Pennsylvania. In 2014, the school was reorganized as a 7th–12th grade school. It shares the building with the District's only middle school.
History. South Lakes High School opened in 1978 with grades 7-10. Students in the first 10th-grade class had attended either Herndon or Oakton High Schools for grade 9. In the 1979-80 school year, the school had grades 7-11. [2] Langston Hughes Intermediate School was supposed to open in the fall of 1980, but there were construction delays.
The school offers Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra classes.
